Nice looking formal wear; nothing outrageous, like being covered in feathers. The styles were flattering to the ladies and were serious to the occasion. It's a shame the men can't shake their tailfeathers at these affairs, but someone has to hold the ladies and be a counterpoint to the color and dazzle.
